Four surfaces, in the only order that earns trust

Read what you own. Realize what it is worth in cash. Report it when the tax year ends. Then, and only then, lend against it.
surface 01

Read. Your whole inventory, one honest ledger

Sign in with Steam and fy_nance reads your public CS2 inventory: every item, its wear, float, pattern, and stickers. No trade permissions, no API keys that can move anything, no custody. Read-only is not a limitation, it is the security model.

Paid tiers add multi-wallet, so the storage account, the play account, and the investment account finally roll up into one view. High-value items get float and pattern resolution, cached permanently because floats never change.

Realize. The number your bank account would actually see

Every tracker shows you paper value: the inflated Steam sticker that only ever converts to wallet credit. The number that matters is what cash you would clear today, and it is 20 to 30 percent lower once Steam's 15 percent cut, third-party haircuts, and liquidity discounts on slow movers do their work.

fy_nance computes realizable value per item, per venue. An AK Redline that sells in five minutes and a specialized knife that takes three weeks get different liquidity treatment, because pretending they are the same number is how people get hurt. Worth versus withdrawable, side by side, with every deduction itemized.

per-venue fee models · cash-out haircut · liquidity discount by item class · the shareable paper-vs-real split

Report. Tax season becomes an export button

If you sell skins for real money, the records are your problem, and today people solve it with CSV exports, PDFs, and screenshots every spring. fy_nance keeps lot-level cost basis all year: FIFO and specific-ID, fee-adjusted, multi-currency, reconciled across every venue you trade on.

Realized and unrealized P&L that actually ties out, a concentration view that shows what a repeat of the October 2025 crash would do to your book, and a tax-ready export when the year ends. The same discipline I build into compliance systems professionally, pointed at your inventory. Records, not tax advice.

Lend. Borrow against it without selling it

Borrow against your inventory without selling it. Coming Phase 2 after we prove out the books.

The order matters. Nobody should lend or borrow against collateral that is not honestly valued, which is why the valuation and accounting layers ship first. The lending research is published openly as it lands.
